what Happened on Good Friday in The Bible?
According to Good Friday, Peter vowed to never desert Jesus to which Jesus said, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” Jesus’s disciples ran away out of fear after He was arrested, but peter followed Him to high priest’s courtyard following from a distance. Peter was recognised as Jesus’s disciples by three different people but he denied it each time, then a rooster crowed which reminded Peter of what Jesus said on which he felt ashamed and started crying. People who were voting for Jesus at high priest’s house included all chief priests, the scribes, elders and the high priest himself. It was known as Sanhedrin, Informal late-night meeting of the Jewish council. They all came together to put Jesus on a trial which was not going to be a fair trial. The leaders were trying to find evidence against Jesus to put Him to death. They tried to call many witnesses but none of them came forward to speak against Him. Then the High priest asked Jesus “Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.” To which He replied, “I am, and you will see me, the Son of Man, sitting at God’s right hand and coming back on the clouds of heaven.” High priest called him a blasphemous saying, “You have just heard His blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? What is your verdict?” to which everyone shouted “He deserves death!” and started beating Jesus.
According to what happened on Good Friday in Bible That Jewish leaders still didn’t have authority to do so under the Roman law, they accused Jesus of false treason against Roman Empire saying He urged people to not pay taxes and claim to be king of Jews. Pilate the roman King on not wanting to be in trouble with religious leaders asked Jesus “Are you the king of the Jews?” to which He replied “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my followers would have fought to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But my kingdom is from another place”. Jewish leader persuaded people to demand Jesus be crucified instead of being granted release as the custom of Passover Feast.
According to Good Friday in The Bible, Je
Jesus spoke His last words “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit,” and then died. Mysteriously the temple’s curtain got torn in two and then a great earthquake occurred. It was Friday afternoon the day of Sabbath and Jewish leader wanted to bury the bodies before Sabbath at sundown. Joseph from Arimathea one of Jesus’s followers asked Pilate for Jesus’s body, He put Jesus body hastily in a tomb carved in rock and rolled a large stone over to seal it.
According to Good Friday in The Bible, The death of Jesus Christ was a part of God plan for mankind’s salvation. He was sacrificed for the sins of mankind; because of His death, we are free from the grave grip of sins. His sacrifice is the main belief and hope on which Christianity stand.
